WHO ARE WE? Morris is an old English type of dance. It is said that morrisdancing is rooted in the change of the seasons or even old pagan rituals. Morris is danced with sticks or handkerchiefs.
The Bean Setting Jacks is a morrisside of boys in the age of about 11 years. We all live in Zeist, near
Utrecht in the Netherlands.
This was one of our first dances we learned and that we showed to an audience.
You see two morrisdancers with green jackets and morrissticks setting the beans while dancing. In the fertile
ground the bean-stalk is growing straight up towards the sun. If you would like to know more about us, you can get in contact with us here! |
